Salcombe Harbour Water Taxi (Winter Service)
Due to the current COVID-19 situation we find ourselves in, we have had to implement some changes to the way our Water Taxi operations work.
From Saturday 4th July 2020, the Harbour Taxi will be operating at a severely reduced capacity, ensure you have a face covering should you be using any of our taxi or shuttle services; please consider other options available to you or expect a longer waiting time.
From Monday 21st September the Water Taxi will be operational from 09.00 to 16.00 every day. From Monday 28th September we will be running 4 trips a day at 09.00, 11.00, 14.00 and 16.00 weekdays only and by prior arrangement with the Harbour Office. The taxi mobile number is 07807 643879 or VHF Channel 12, these will be monitored only during weekday office hours. They will give you advice on passenger number availability and instructions on how to board and travel with other groups of people.
Our operating capacity has been reduced as follows:
4 passengers max if all from separate households.
6 passengers with max 2 groups from separate households i.e. 2 groups of 3 passengers
6 passengers max all from the same household.
SOCIAL DISTANCING APPLIES AT ALL TIMES
We ask that any bookings are made direct to the taxi mobile on VHF channel 12. As the situation progresses, the water taxi operations are constantly being reviewed and any changes will be posted via our social media and on the website. We thank you for your co operation.
To adhere to social distancing guidelines and prevent overcrowding a particular trip and removing waiting or queuing, advanced booking is essential by phone or email.
